Our New Tree Nursery Program to Plant More Than 1,000 Trees by End of 2025.
At GreenUp Uganda, our commitment to environmental restoration and community empowerment continues to grow stronger. We are pleased to announce the establishment of a new tree nursery bed, marking another significant step in our mission to promote reforestation and climate action through education and community involvement.
Through this initiative, we aim to raise and plant more than 1,000 trees before the end of 2025, working hand in hand with school children and local community members. This effort reflects our belief that environmental sustainability begins with awareness and participation at the grassroots level — especially among young people.
The new nursery will serve as a learning and resource center where children can actively engage in tree planting, nursery management, and environmental education. Beyond producing seedlings, it will nurture values of responsibility, care, and stewardship for the planet.
Our vision extends beyond 2025. By 2026, We plan to expand this effort to reach more schools and communities, increasing the number of trees planted and deepening our partnerships with educators, local leaders, and global supporters.
This initiative aligns with our broader goal of restoring degraded landscapes, combating climate change, and promoting sustainable livelihoods through community-led environmental action.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our Local Schools Children, supporters, and volunteers who continue to make our work possible. Together, we are not only planting trees but also planting hope, resilience, and a sustainable future for generations to come.
