Do It Now - Plant the future
For years, GreenUp Uganda has worked hand in hand with children, local families, and communities to protect the environment, promote education, and create a greener, more hopeful future. Our journey has been powered by the generosity of friends, community members, and even contributions from our own small salaries. This support has kept us going, but relying solely on donations can be unpredictable. There are moments when help slows down, and important activities are delayed. It’s time for a sustainable solution.
That solution is land. Owning land means building a permanent foundation for our work—a space that will grow with us, expand our reach, and keep inspiring change for generations to come. It is more than just soil; it is the base for education, empowerment, and environmental action. With $14,286, we can secure 5 acres of land—each acre costing $2,858 (10,003,000 UGX). Our dream is to get the full 5 acres, but even starting with 1 or 2 acres now will set us firmly on the path to expansion in the future.
This land will unlock life-changing opportunities. It will give us the ability to grow our own food—fruit trees, vegetables, and crops—to ensure food security for children and the community, reducing our dependency on uncertain donations. It will host a teaching center where children can receive quality education and practical skills, while adults can learn about environmental stewardship, farming, and permaculture. It will also become home to sustainable projects—from tree planting to eco-farming—that generate income and keep our mission alive all year round. Most importantly, it will be a space for people to come together—children, families, volunteers, and partners—creating lasting community impact.
From August 2025 to February 2026, we are running our “Do It Now – Planting the Future” Land Campaign in four phases: August–September: Kick-off, awareness, and mobilization; October–November: fundraising energy; December: sharing progress; January–February: the final push, buying the land, and celebrating together. With your help, we can make this vision a reality.
Every contribution—big or small—brings us closer to building a permanent home for our work, securing a greener future for our community, and planting the seeds of change for generations to come.
Thanks from
